Sentience is the ability to feel, perceive or be conscious, or to have subjective experiences.
The main commercial selling point of Ceylons was the idea of creating another “race” to handle the jobs that humans don’t want to. It is fascinating to think that the human history of slavery/slave wage/sweatshop could be recreated in the not so distant future using non-carbon based entities.
